FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time in the evening can the movie start?

At dusk. The darker the better, so it depends on the time of year. Typically 30 minutes after sunset is the best time to start, however we will work with you to accommodate your needs as best as possible. You can access the sunset time in your area at www.weather.com.

What can we show?

You are renting the equipment, set-up and technical support.   However, if this is for viewing in the comforts of your own back yard and if you don’t have the Movie, we can assist in locating the movie.  Our setups are great for MOVIES, DVD CONCERTS, and PHOTO MONTAGES*. We can also hook up GAME SYSTEMS, and KARAOKE.  Make sure you check all copyright laws, broadcasting rights and noise ordinances in your city and neighborhood.

* PHOTO MONTAGE: For an additional fee, all media types (CD, memory card, printed) of photos can be provided with music of your choice, and we will create a most memorable photo montage for you to enjoy during your event.  This DVD photo montage will be yours to always enjoy anytime.

How much room is required for set up?

Since this is front projection, which means from the viewer’s side, the projector needs to be 15 to 20 ft. away depending on screen size.  The projector is usually in the middle of the audience, about 3-4 ft off the ground, but if required the projector can be elevated or placed at greater distances, but please provide advanced notice for your setup.  We will do our best to accommodate your setup preference at your location.  Please note a clearance of 12’ will be required for the top of the screens and a level surface for proper setup.

Film Licensing

If you intend to display your movie for the general public or for your block party event, we will help you acquire legal rights to display it once you select your movies of choice. As the equipment provider, we are no longer allowed to obtain the license for you, the end-user. We supply you with the film licensing contact information and guide you in the simple process of ordering the movie title.  You may contact these film licensing companies directly for more information and pricing.
